Chewy Chocolate Granola Clusters

Chewy Chocolate Granola Clusters

As soon as I tasted the super delicious homemade chocolate granola I made, I thought it would taste great with some dried cranberries mixed with it somehow.  I came up with these chewy chocolate granola clusters, and we really liked them.  They had a nice toasty flavor to them.  They were chewy and sweet, really delicious!  They turned out to be a great snack.

Ingredients

Chewy Chocolate Granola Clusters

  • 3 Cups Granola (I used this yummy chocolate granola )
  • 2 Cups rice cereal
  • 1 Cup dried Cranberries
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F
  2. Prepare a 9×13 pan with either parchment paper or cooking spray. (I used parchemnt paper)
  3. Measure dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl
  4. Add honey, maple syrup and cinnamon to a small sauce pan and stir and heat over medium high  until it comes to a gentle boil.
  5. Pour hot liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until thoroughly coated.  Spread and press  into prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Let cool completely.  They will still be pliable when they first come out of the oven.
  7. Break into hunks of desired size and enjoy!
